A Time for Social and Spiritual Advancement

Humans in the Anthropocene – Our End or New Beginning?

by Stephen Cocconi

Many different schools of thought agree that a turning of the ages is upon us…for humans and the Earth.

The Anthropocene (the geological era altered by the species Homo Sapiens) is here and we face a Poly-Crisis of biological, climatic, social, economic, military, political, financial, and spiritual cataclysms intersecting all at the same moment in history. All of which put our individual and collective psyche on an emergency alert status for survival. How our species rallies, panics, or folds in the face of all these influences is within our spiritual and social capacity to confront and redirect. These crises cannot be stopped but the can be dealt with from fear or from wisdom.

The Anthropocene ushers in the era of how the human race will direct its own future.
Humans are techno-centric favoring our own creations to Nature which has been the underpinnings of our survival. The Anthropocene is characterized by the destruction of the natural world in favor of the mechanical one.

Several of these domains are well underway toward decline and chaos like: climate change, financial upheaval, and are inevitable leading to social dispossession and calamity. Politically this will lead to further conflicts between nations and social classes. In the meantime, as humans have done in times of great panic, they will ruthlessly consume and fight over the remaining resources of the planet…UNLESS, humans find a way to come to their collective senses.

This is where this web site and the notions presented in the Applied Michael Approach, the updated version of the Michael Teachings Large Language Model (LLM) of human psychological and metaphysical concepts which may be engaged to imagine a humanity based upon cooperation for mutual survival rather than competition or conflict for hegemony. This emergent state is generally termed the Mature Soul Era based upon the metaphysical process Soul Age evolution.

Whether one gives credence to such a theoretical overview of human consciousness, it still offers a a realistic map of character reassessments that could lead to more strategic and timely changes in collective behavior. And our collective fate will rest upon realistic and forward thinking behavioral change. But sustained changes is always a function of attitude advancement and emotional attachment to more substantial beliefs.

The Humane Being is the step in consciousness where the preservation of life is understood, and sometime required, to eliminate harmful elements which threatens the living. It is a state of personal accountability and stability of Self which is of the highest regulation and conscience. This is the challenge all must confront individually before we can collectively make lasting change.

“Being Humane is more than Compassion or Enlightenment, it is committed action to be accountable to and for yourself, and others, while working to sustain the game board of life: Earth itself!” Michael’s Consortium
